Catacombs of Paris: SOLD by NatashaVi Catacombs of Paris: SOLD by NatashaVi
Silver dungeon chains strung together, tipped with spikes and garnet "blood" drops to meet a small fleur de lis, suspend a mini coffin. Coffin lid portrays a foreboding symbol of its contents; a skull, whilst the hindged lid opens to reveal a tiny skeleton, to rest for all of eternity. RIP.

THIS ITEM HAS SOLD OUT!

Thank you :icongrimtowne:!

oh, no, you're perfectly right on that one, the famous catacombs are in Paris. What I meant is that I would have associated that with catacombs actually. That's a bit of a detail, though : bodies in the catacombs are not in coffins, and there are a lot more of them. Basically what could be found would be skeletons in holes in the wall, or pretty much piles of bones, walls of stacked skulls...

Yes, I know there are not relaly coffins, but what with the fleurs and such, it just wound up with that name.

hey hey, finally, I got something right :)

And you certainly got that very right, as these flowers are one symbol of the French kings. It actually used to be on some flags. The white in the blue-white-red french flag is also the color of the kings, and I thinks it comes from the lilys.

(btw, "fleur de lis" is correct but "fleur de lys" is more common, and the flower is usually the "lys" (= lilly) )

I would have liked it more without the coffin. Rather a neater skull, or cross?

The reast is absolutely beautiful though

Hmm, because this one has a fleur and was aimed more towards Paris, maybe I will create one for the Italian catacombs and use a cathedral esque cross? Its an idea I hadnt completely thought of.
